Diamond State Recycling Corp. is a privately owned company, incorporated in Delaware in 1991. It is currently owned and operated by company president Scott Sherr. Previously, it was owned and operated by Scott’s late father, Herbert Sherr.

The role of a processor of scrap metals is to receive scrap material, sort it by type and grade of metal, and break down very large metal objects into manageable pieces that can be sold to a mill, which ultimately prepares the material for reuse.

Diamond State Recycling Corp. is a large supplier of scrap aluminum cans to the beverage industry, which recycles cans and uses the clean, recycled content in new beverage cans. Old cans become part of new cans.
